Business Development

When you hire a consultant you really are hiring an agent of change.

All busineses must change constantly, as life and people do. Change is hard.

TEG teaches in all business models we review that the thinking must be CHANGE, or DIE.

Typically business owners, entrepreneurs or the CEO’s and Sr. Vice President’s that run companies are too close to what they do, or what they are told, that they are both blindsided and distant from what really happens in their business.

TEG works from a transpersonal psychology based execution of review, and a constant restructuring and continuing development of a company. Our methodology is not that of termination of staff, although it can be, but instead in finding what is working, and what is “made to work.”

Our simple goals:

· Increase market share

· See from only the customer’s point of view

· Decrease employee turnover

· Become more profitable

Most plans and businesses fail because of a lack of execution. At TEG we believe no business plan should be for more than 6 months, and that a business plan is in constant flux, should be fluid by definition, and that all key steps in all a business does must work around execution and accountability.

International

Several of us on staff have traveled extensively between 60 to 84 countries. We have worked with manufacturers to design products for the U.S. market, with importers to offer “source buying” (not through a broker) for Asian products, and in actually working with chains, restaurant supply distributors, and manufacturers in various parts of the world.

TEG has provided counsel to numerous U.S. restaurant chains to create marekting plans, establish presence, and find efficient distribution networks throughout Europe, the Middle East and Central and South America.

Mergers/Acquisitions

TEG is not a licensed business broker, nor do we provide business valuations.

Our role is acting as the finder and then the facilitator of the process. We know people around the world and marry concept with need, cause with effect.

Unlike a traditional suit reading numbers, we let others read the numbers and then we work with the people that are going to make the business sell, and be profitable to the new owners.

Marketing

This is a big buzzword and really means almost NOTHING. At TEG we teach that:

  • Marketing is sales; they are not separate.
  • The customer often knows more than the company from which they are buying.
  • Or, the customer has NO IDEA what they want; they must be trained.
  • Investment in outside-the-box thinking is critical.
  • Results must be measured and analyzed.
  • Commission and incentive programs must work for both employees and customers; for buyers and sellers.
  • We are all buying and selling the same thing (this is difficult for most to grasp).
  • Part of a business plan is the process of marketing internally and externally.
  • Profits can be the greatest on items and programs where the customer benefits most.
